Detatch brain, prepare tissues
The school soccer cheering squad rebels against their tough
captain, Ryo. They offer her an ultimatum - they will quit
the squad unless she completes several humiliating challenges
they set for her. Can she keep the squad together?
Humiliation is the name of the game in this brand new Five
Ways title (apparently NuTech released this in the US before
it was out in Japan. Impressed?). Maybe you could loosely
label Karen as sports hentai, though sport only serves the
purpose of setting-up those H-scenes, of which there are a
few. With a running time of less than 25 minutes there's about
as much plot as you would expect.
Ryo is captain of the soccer cheering squad, but her tough
manner is enough to make her entire squad want to quit. But
her all-male squad devise an INGENIOUS way to blackmail Ryo
into keeping her team together! Can you possibly guess what
that might be?
For such a tough gal Ryo is so easily manipulated into the
cheering squads' perverted 'challenges' it's nauseating. Needless
to say feminists need not bother watching Karen! To add insult
to injury Ryo inevitably ends up enjoying her humiliation
and well...that's about it.
There's not a lot to say about Karen. The artwork is nice
enough, and the practically non-existent 'animation' is of
the shiny, digital variety that I'm not a great fan of, but
the video quality of the DVD is stunning. The dialog is a
little spicy, even on the subtitled version and sex scenes
are very explicit. Overall Karen is a horny romp with little
substance and delivers nothing really surprising or challenging.
Ho-hum.
