the banality of it all!
How could I miss the fact that Kekko Kamen is a Go Nagai flick?
Ah, I can hear it now, the groans in my head as I searched
frantically for his name in the credits. As usual, Go Nagai
never disappoints when it comes to being trite. Expect to
see something really preposterous and find yourself laughing
at the sheer stupidity of it all. No kidding!
This time it's a heroine who runs around naked while keeping
her identity intact. Oh yes, flaunt it baby! But keep your
mask on in case someone recognizes you. Wear your boots and
gloves too, so you won't catch a cold. That really can't be
So what's inside Kekko Kamen? For starters we have suicidal
students who fail their exams, knowing full well that they'd
be stripped naked and beaten by an S&M specialist inside
a horrifying torture chamber. Of course, there isn't going
to be any serious shagging, since Kekko Kamen, whose voice
is provided by talented Emi Shinohara of SailorMoon (SailorJupiter),
will always appear just in the nick of time. By gawd, it just
goes on and on until you get to the last episode of the last
volume. Well, Toenail of Satan, the principal, doesn't just
sit there and allow Kekko Kamen to make an ass out of him.
He does try his best to capture her, but to no avail.
As usual, Go Nagai will shower you with eroticism that doesn't
necessarily go into the most fundamental aspects of hentai.
You'll just be treated to a lot of displayed skin, but no
more than that. This series is a sleep-inducer, though. It
took me a week to finish it, because every attempt I make
at watching it, I find myself drifting off to La La Land
when I've just woken up in time for breakfast.
