As good as it gets
From the very first frame of Oni-Tensei, I must admit that I was completely blown away by the beauty of the artwork and smoothness of the animation. It certainly didn't seem like a cheap hentai production. True, I got the English dub and it just plain sucked—monotonous voices plagued my ears, and there was even one guy who sounded like the narrator for Dexter's Laboratory. I mean, Dexter's Laboratory is cute, but Oni-Tensei is not Dexter's Laboratory. Despite this, the beautiful background music, somewhat similar to the kind used in Parasite Eve (See Disc13 for reference), was able to rescue the sounds department. That would be another point inside the basket. Don't forget—the hentai scenes (bonus points for men with lesbian fantasies) are also very detailed and showcases the best of this anime's fine artwork!

You have one tortured Nozomi with an ogre imprinted in her soul, one very concerned police officer Reiko, and one mysterious assassin who goes around killing tatooed people. Things progress and more people are thrown into the fray. As situations get stickier and more complex, the ogre, the bane of Nozomi's life, starts playing a more valuable role in Nozomi's and Reiko's survival. Even as our two heroes struggle to get hold of the people responsible for Nozomi's fate, they also find themselves getting a bit more intimate in the way most kindred spirits are. The story alone is very engaging, like a mix of Nightmare Campus and Mystery of the Necronomicon. Just a little warning, though: rape and gory scenes are predominant herein. So I wouldn't recommend this for the queasy.
